9-1: Spooky Week

ARTIST'S TO-DO LIST:
-Complete MM Special for this week.
-Inform readers that it can be found at http://www.drunkduck.com/MM_Special - and that they've already missed a day's comic.
-Work on the sequel for Mel&Mac, while I'm at it.
-Make Gary less of a jerk.

I've gotta tell you, folks, I'm completely on Dan's end when it comes to Halloween. It's my favorite holiday, and only a truly emotionless (or truly paranoid) person cannot love it.

To test out my new kills with saturation techniques, I've decided to completely and fully color this week's comics - then take all the color away and see if it still looks good. So far, so good. I think. It's a bit dark though, don't you think?

The problem was, I did some beautiful coloring for this comic, but Gary - disinterested as always - doesn't see it. Jerk.

I promise though, Gary will get better. Or I'll throttle him.

Also! This gives me a chance to point out - even in shades of gray - how much Dan loves the holiday. He's gone so far out on his Dracula costume, he's even delved into theatrical makeup to make his face as pale as Melody's.

Random trivia: Every time I do a Halloween-themed comic - EVERY TIME - there is a Dracula costume. I swear, it seems like a signature thing for me.
