Nice job, Gary.

So, I did a little background detail today. Didn't really feel like it, but I wanted some depth because I always felt like Gary and Dan never really sat against the wall.

As for football - I am probably just as much in the dark about it as Gary is. I had to Wiki it just to figure out football season for high schools. I'm probably even wrong with the scheduling. Am I?

I really want Dan to get into football, because I don't want any sort of "Jocks and Nerds are enemies!" thing in this series. In fact, what happens with Gary and Dan is likely a very common occurrence in high school, as many friends have differing interests.

Which allows for comedy, if you ask me. I can't help but think I need to do a comic where everything Dan says about football comes out as "blah blah blah," or his voice bubble is merely covered with Gary's thought bubble.

Or maybe the words are just blurry and difficult to read.

Random extra trivia: Of the punks/goths/emos/whoever behind Gary and Dan, two of them are based on characters from other comics I've done, and one has the word "HEAD" tattood on the back of his head.
