She's right, Gare.

Now that I think of it, this reminds me a bit of A Christmas Story (except A Christmas Story is actually funny). Gary's entire wishlist is a long series of the Red Ryder BB Gun. But instead of shooting his eye out, he'll burn his hands off or shorten his lifespan, or make things really really dry (yay, natron).

Interestingly enough, I couldn't find a definite cost for mercury, or ANY cost for natron, so if anybody can help me out with those, it'd be an interesting trivial knowledge.

Hm… Lye isn't too bad…

Agh, I've spent all my time doing this instead of actually commenting on the comic. Blah, blah, I forgot to suck out the color, I'll do it tomorrow.

Given that we're talking about Alchemy materials, should I go ahead and leave some color in?

EDIT: Fixed. I tried 25%, but realized there was no major difference between 25 and 20, so I went with what was suggested - 20% color left. =P
