I had a number of ideas for this comic, when I realized that my original (a logic puzzle of "Apples are to Oranges as to Pirates are to Ninjas) would not fit well on an English 9 exam.

Or would it?

Anyway, I'd considered a math exam joke:

Panel 1 - x/9 = 6, solve for x
Panel 2 - (Gary thinks.)
Panel 3 - Gary: "Oh!"
Panel 4 - 42.

I would've titled it "All Respect to Mr. Adams." But then I realized, I never even established that he was talking Algebra this semester. Plus I didn't think anyone would get it.

I also had a response to the question actually posed in today's comic, which would have explained how the pirates and ninjas would have come to a truce and joined forces against the Establishment. But that sounds like something someone else would say.

Anyway, this storyline ends Friday, as usual, and I wish I had that Saturn/Lead t-shirt.
