39-1: Yearbook 2010 - Part 1

Oh yeah. Who's awesome? Half an hour until go-time, and I've got everything done.

I should've taken that extra half-hour to fill in the bottom lefthand corner with the top righthand corner of another image. Meh.

So, here we have a week of stuff I hope to make an annual tradition, to keep with the high school theme of the series. It allows me to show off a bit and change the format to a one-panel image - even for a week - and gives me a strange contradiction of feeling like less work, but actually being more work.

(Damn whoever invented bookshelves!)

Perhaps you all have noticed that our Senior friend has shown up again. I decided to give ol' Expo a full name (Curtis Sommerson), since you'll likely never see him again unless I want to make some kind of gag about him showing up constantly to present exposition.

Judging by his quote, I suspect his nickname was originally "Captain Obvious." If he had become basketball team captain, he probably would have been.

Poor Anonymous Freshman, though. People are taking pictures of him against his will in the library, and didn't even think to ask his name. Don't worry, Anonymous Freshman, the only time I appeared in the Yearbook was in the class photos section. Okay, and the one for Band. Be glad you don't have to play in a marching band, Anonymous Freshman.

Speaking of photos. Should I do the lame cliché of having embarrassing photos? I always remembered someone having them. I always thought mine looked stupid because I hated my face, but it really doesn't take much to end up with a goofy face with them cracking stupid jokes to get you to smile.

Meh. Maybe I'll do it with the poor buzz-cut kid.
