Oh man, I almost just thought "Screw it, I'll go to bed and finish later," but I just had to do this for the Imp.

For those who are unaware, today is the summer solstice. It is also the Imp's birthday (having been born on the solstice of last year), and if I'm not mistaken, an important day of the year in Alchemy. So this week should be fun. I've actually been wanting to do this story for a while.

I'm hoping I stepped up in humor with a lengthy negative, suggesting that the Imp knows what's coming.

(Those of you who know your Mandrake mythology probably do too. Or if you just remember Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. Whatever. That touched on the subject too.)

As for what Gary intends to use Mandrake for… I think it's homunculus research. Which is odd, because he has a homunculus right there.
