Ugh. I'm aware, it's up megalate, but I have an excuse today. Windows Vista decided to be a pain and inform me that it had new updates and was going to restart, whether I liked it or not. I'd selected for it to wait four hours until I was asleep and the comic was up, but I mistakenly clicked "Restart Now" instead of "Postpone." Thus losing all my foreground work and making me start over.

Also, I ended up doing way too much with the background. See?

So yes, this is an actual documented method of pulling mandrake. I've been trying to determine just how much fantasy Gary's world has, and I think I've decided upon "Just enough to make it odd." So while homunculi are possible and apparently time travel will be discovered in a couple years, a mandragora will not scream and kill you.

I hope I did alright on the illustration. It's a bit dark because they're pulling at night, but I think it turned out pretty well. Hooray for reference images?

If this goes up properly, then I'll go fix the other broken images. If not, screw it, I'm going to bed.
