53-1: The Question, Revisited

Whew, there we go.

Most of my lateness this week was, "Which story am I going to do for the new year in comics?" I'd had something planned (with Gary going back to school), but then I found this little gem I'd written up and promptly forgotten about until this past weekend. Which was a pretty neat coincidence.

I decided to go for it. It might have been better off much later on - for next year's beginning, maybe - but I thought it'd still be fresh enough in Gary's mind for him to comment on a similar conversation having taken place.

I'm aware that I forgot Gary's hat. To be honest, I wish I'd noticed before I drew in the final lines, but there you go. Besides, it gives more time to showcase his new hair, even though that'll show up a lot next week anyway.

And before you start wondering, no, I'm not going to be screwing with the fourth wall this week.
