Whew.

So yeah, I'm getting a bit better at the Photo-shop. Things are still a bit clunky, but it's better than Monday's. Hopefully it will progress in such a fashion as I get more comfortable with it.

So yeah, that guy you saw this Monday? And the Monday before in the way-back on the bus? He's gonna be a character.

I actually had no idea what to call him - or the other two (I actually had a group of four planned, but didn't know who else to draw, so let's pretend Gary's the fourth). At a loss for names, I decided to go the same route as I did with the Orphans in Melody & Macabre, and give them nicknames instead. These three have a theme, and that theme is clothing items.

Incidentally, West Generic High has a policy against hats, but Cappy doesn't care. Cappy loves his damn hat.

I'd initially considered Jeans as a messy long-haired girl with glasses, then I realized that character design can be useful in the future, so I scrapped it and gave her short, boyish hair. Upon the realization that I just drew Dora, I became frustrated and said "Fine, I won't color her hair, since anything I think of will either be something I've already done, or something people would associate with her."

Also, there will be no Indie music references.

I think the most fun I had was drawing Cappy though. Even though I had his hat misdrawn. I realized I basically drew Mario's hat, and quickly fixed it to be a flat cap.

And I'm very happy with how Gary looks in Panel 4. That's kinda how I intended his hair to look, I think.
