How anticlimactic.

I feel weird that this series is more autobiographical than I'd initially intended. It's bad enough that Gary, like every main character I've ever done, looks like me, but given that the only high school experience I have to draw on is MY OWN, I feel ashamed that a lot of my experiences are being used for the high school part of this series. But oh well.

So yeah… while Lizzie is ultimately an amalgamation of every girl I've ever liked and had no chance in hell with, she's most closely related to a girl I crushed on throughout middle school and high school. Said girl once invited me to sit with her and her friends at lunch one day, and a similar exchange occurred.

…I have no idea when it was asked whether I wanted to marry her one day, but my answer in the affirmative was apparently deemed adorable enough for an endearing "awww" from them. It was that point that I made Gary's fourth-panel request to them.

I never learned if they honored that request.

Anyway, art! You folks may not recognize this girl, but she's technically the same as one of the two girls talking to Lizzie in her first appearance. And apparently she has freckles now, even though she's intended to be a dark skinned girl.

I have no idea.
