And here we gooo!
I was actually expecting to have a short break week of complete nonsensical gobbledegook before going into more excitement with our inevitable "Beach Episode," but I decided against it once I realized that I couldn't think of anything else other than everybody having fun and Gary being a spaz about it all.
This is actually a lot of strange things, to be honest, because I actually intended to do the beach storyline NEXT summer, at which point all the character relationships would be more well-developed and something more interesting could come of it.
Ultimately, though, I decided to just go ahead and throw it in, as this summer is kinda sparse on things I'd thought of doing, and I've already got Edy trying to get Gary to get out and do more things, so why not? Right?
Right?
I also wanted to only do this as a week's story, but then I realized A) all the funny things I thought of doing would require 2 weeks to do everything, as preparations would waste a day, as would coming back from the beach, and B) Some people actually spend two weeks at the beach.
I hope I managed to set everything up here in the first comic so I don't have to do any more exposition, but I hope it's already to be expected who all is going with them. Clearly Tee's parents, Jean, and Cappy.
Uhhh… yeah.
END RANT. I am too excited for this.
Things I am not proud of in this page: Gary's limbs. Seriously, WHAT THE HELL. Also, I should've given Edy a hat, and erased the collarbone bits that make her look a bit granny-ish, Edy having no hips.
Things I am proud of in this page: Edy's goofy glasses (why do I love drawing her in big goofy glasses?), Edy's bitchin' aloha shirt, Gary at least looking closer to Gary than he did on Friday, I took the time to actually change facial expressions.
