020. Formula for a happy marriage

Here's your Valentine's strip (sort of)! I had a strange stream of consciousness with this one. I started out thinking about science + love, which led me to think of that old song "Love Potion Number 9." I pictured the lab animal test subjects from experiments #1 through #8. That somehow snowballed my mind to those funny Formula 409 ads where they talk about how "the world's not ready for formula 410." And then the ideas merged and turned into this. Btw, the genders were assigned arbitrarily and are not meant to be any kind of commentary or stereotype. (Feel free to reverse roles as necessary. ~_^ ) Originally, I planned on the test subject being a coworker, not a spouse. However, it's easier to draw a dirty house than a dirty laboratory, and people can probably recognize and relate better to a vacuum cleaner than an autoclave.

The cameo here is the TV release of Cricket's Creature. (Everyone is watching it! Not just slobs!)
