Author notes
Awhile back I suggested I might do some "lab safety" strips. Here's one. I probably won't do them all in a row, depending on what other ideas I come up with. This rule applies to outside food as well as chemicals and supplies in the lab. Once upon a time, scientists used taste as a property to identify solutions in the lab. o_0 In fact, Dr. Jekyll would have come from the age of those practices himself. When I was teaching undergraduate labs, I sometimes found soda cans left on lab benches. (I taught intro biology, so it wasn't exactly dangerous.) My professors didn't always adhere to all the safety protocols either. Some borrowed glucose from the lab for their coffee. Oh, and I have a milestone announcement! Tomorrow, my other comic, Used Books will officially have 700 pages online. (Sadly, the longer it gets, the less likely new people will read it. -_- )
