Interesting fact for the week: Extra limbs on frogs are commonly caused by a parasite.
I apologize for the delay. There are two good excuses, er, reasons for it. I had job training last week and have been playing catch-up with Used Books (which is my passion and priority). And all the crazy stressful stuff going on has given me writer's block. Basically, I'm working my butt off getting programs designed for the park (my workplace) before the time comes to actually present them. So, when Sunday came along, I didn't have a good Gelotology gag fleshed out (and was still coloring a UB page). Rather than draw something substandard and rushed, I decided to give myself more time.
Today will be a particularly stressful day because we have 120 third grade students coming to the park. Four people (including me) work there, so we're dividing them into groups of 30 and taking them each through 3 programs (nature, Civil War, and archaeology) and then time in our visitor center. I have been assigned to the "nature program." I'm stressing out because this will be my very first nature program presentation and my very first time with a school group.
I spent yesterday mentally rehearsing my program on the topic of clean streams and biodiversity beginning with (essentially) the line in panel 1. This imagery came to mind, and lo and behold I had a comic.
