048. Dinner Dissection Discussion

The appearance of these two characters is roughly based on my parents, and this scene is a slight exaggeration of the way my mother eats a lobster. ;-) Dinner conversation with Mom is always interesting. For example, she insists on letting everyone know whether her chicken drumstick is from a left or right leg.

I think I was inspired to make this strip because I'm scripting a "dating" plotline for a future story arc of Used Books. My mind wandered into "The perils of dating a ________" If I can solidify another idea (and people like this gag), I'll try some other scientific fields.
