Panel 1 is a quote from Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's "Study in Scarlet." This was what went through my head when I read that particular part of the story. I believe most people see anything not in their particular interests as being pointless. My dad, a physicist, thinks biology is pointless. I guess we're all a little eccentric and obsessive, but no real person outside of an institution is as much so as Sherlock Holmes.

I considered putting this strip off until DD works properly again, but I figured this could help test the waters.
