As you can see, Maureen is a very reluctant participant in this superhero story. Yet she's still making a heroic choice here.

I'm someone who absolutely loves superhero stuff, and I thought it would be an interesting and challenging start to this comic to focus in on a character who wants absolutely nothing to do with this so-called "cape shit", and hopefully use that as a means to illustrate just why these kinds of characters and stories are so infectious and resonate so much to this day.
