Maureen mentioned her father in the second page, and he's a very important if unseen figure in the comic.

Part of the big premise around Maureen's part of Generation Bad, is the idea of: "What if Billy Batson didn't want to be Shazam? What if he couldn't change back? What if he actually had a happy life he wanted to get back to, but now being Shazam prevented him from being able to?"

And ultimately, the choice that person makes. Whether or not that person chooses to be a hero, or chooses to only see their situation as a burden.
