Ta-da~ first page. I TOLD you it's not going to be toned.
Well on this page…I tried just tones. And frankly it didn't look good at all. So yeah. Samurai was all "…TEXTURES SOLVE EVERY PROBLEM!" and voila. (Believe me - when I hate what something looks like, I go the texture route first.)
Be warned - I don't know that much about soccer. Kindasorta, but not enough to be like "Oh yeah draw this play and this play and this play."
