Chapter 2: Spiral Out #1

New chapter! YAAAAY!

In this chapter we'll actually meet some other characters for our heroine to interact with. Human characters! Ohboy I cannut wayt!

Trying to be more mindful of my character construction. Been taking a lot of photo references, especially of people, but it's pretty difficult to capture children playing without looking like a creep!

I still need to get a real scanner instead of using this cheap all-in-one piece of crap. Rest assured if I choose to collect this in a book, I'll go back and touch up all the previous comics and rescan them in an actual scanner. You're missing a lot of vibrancy in the colors because I have to scan this in two parts, stitch it together, use the clone stamp tool to blend the pieces, then adjust the levels and color selector but it NEVER comes out perfect.

Finally, Sakuracon tomorrow. I've honestly enjoyed maybe 5 Japanese cartoons in my life but anime conventions are great places to see goofballs in ridiculous costumes. Just like everything else in life you'll find that diamond in the rough (I.E. awesome) costume that blows you away. Last year I saw an Optimus Prime that actually folded into a truck when the dude crouched down. Wicked!
