She just doesn't know whether she should act as a good girl or bad girl. Thus, he tunes her stupid garbling out and reduces her to a cleavage. Lesson of the day: if you don't have anything to talk about, use a t-shirt.
There's a lot more I'd like to say about Raphael's dreams, but since I don't think I'll have an oportunity to add it to the comic any soon, I'll write a little bit of it here: Raffy likes legends and myths, and would like to be a fantasy writer. His favorite author is, unsurprisingly, Tolkien. His volleyball teammates all think he's a nerd.
And since two people have brought it up so far - the speech bubbles are thick like that because, if I used the same brush for everything, they'd be difficult to separate from the rest of the lineart (since the lineart is light and pencilled). Since I draw the bubbles along with the lineart itself, that made it troublesome for me during coloring, and uncomfortable in the eyes while reading.
I decided in a fit of jenyuz to draw the bubbles with a thick brush in high pressure, and make them really stand out - call it a stylistic choice - but it's obviously not working out. OC's brushes are also very sensitive, and there's no "smooth out" tool or option in it, so they come out a bit shaky. I guess I'll thin them up a bit from now on and see if it works better… though they'll stay this way till page 16, since they just need coloring.
