This sequence was inspired by Felix Baumgartner's Freefall Record from a few years ago. I watched when it was happening and found it fascinating someone could jump from the edge of space, exceed the speed of sound, and then land safely (via parachute).

As for as 'electronic emissions', many animals can see a broader spectrum than we can. Many can see into the ultraviolet, and some can sense into the infrared. But the spectrum includes exotic wavelengths like x-rays, radio waves, etc… These are inherently the same stuff as visible light, and if we could 'see' them, the world would look very different.

It seems there are a few humans who can see further into the spectrum that us normal folks. After he had an eye removed, Claude Monet produced some unusual coloration in his brilliant paintings, and some suggest he actually was seeing into the ultraviolet and was just painting what he 'saw'!

Anyway, 'Mother' can see much more than a normal human or animal. How do they know this? They probably just strongly suspect it, based on the fact Kimber Lee herself can when she 'shifts focus'.

Here's a hypothetical look at how the world might look of we could see the emissions from Cellphones!. Kimber Lee's practicing and learning to see the world this way, but if you can't turn it off you'll go crazy (see the Man of Steel movie)!
