Finally caved in and watched Neon Genesis Evangelion, along with the movies, rather than wait six years for the next manga. Let me just say, the critics were right. The ending was not as good as it could have been and seemed really stupid (The whole 'alternative realm' thing was funny though).

What I didn't like was in how much of a wuss Shinji is. I just didn't like him and thought he was no more than a whiney little bitch (At least in the manga he has some backbone). Also, the evas look really weird in colour. They're so bright and colourful and I'm so used to the dark, black and white forms. Also, Rei sounds too much like a thirty-year-old woman than a teenager

Onto the spoilers. Now, I'm reviewing everything at once, so if something happens in the movie that didn't happen in the show, I'm sorry.

Okay, the fight between the evas could have been a hell of a lot better. Also, the whole thing about Shinji and Asuka becoming the new Adam and Eve was a little warped. I feel sorry for the kid, having to spend the rest of his life breeding with her. Although, he did touch himself when he saw her breasts while she was in a coma, so I guess he may not be as deserving of my pity as some of us may think.

Anyway, it's a weird series, but it was interesting. Go ahead and watch it if you like.
