[497] Guardian: I Checked and They Do

Of course, everyone's a little racist, as the Avenue Q song goes. (At least I think it was Avenue Q).

Sorry the comic is a few hours late, but my mum wanted to see this U2 concert that was showing in 3D over at IMAX. Before that, we went to George St to watch the ANZAC day parade. For those of you unaware, it's a day for Australian and New Zealand soldiers to be respected and such. I marched once back when I was in scouts and hopefully that'll be the only time I'll be there again. I don't exactly feel like going to war.

Once again, I have been trying to motivate myself to get off my arse and draw my own comic again. So far so good, I've made it past a record of six pages before thinking "I'll restart when I get a tablet" or "Damn my art is so depressing". The main reason i stop is the former. I've been drawing comics on and off since I was ten-years-old and while I have improved greatly, despite havign drawn only roughly 200 pages in my entire life, I keep thinking I should be better, like all the guys who do it proffessionally.

"But David" you may be saying, "You're only 19 and have only been doing webcomics for two and a half years, barely drawing any of them. They have been working for over five years and draw almost every day". Well, I know that, and yet I don't. It's weird, but my sketches just send me emo sometimes.

What does this mean? Well, soon I'm going to be starting a strip-based comic, really all about whatever I feel like. Sometimes video games, sometimes real life, basically whatever I feel like. Hopefully, by next year I'll be ready to start my own story comic. I'll have a link to it on Monday, and hopefully will be able to keep it up.
