What could make Kevin leave the gang? Find out on Monday.

I've always been a firm believer that the more a comic updates, the more attention it deserves. If it has a schedule and manages to keep to it, it should get more readers and be higher on the DD list. When it stops updating, it should go down. That's why I like having regular updates and keeping to a schedule.

However, on Wednesday I found myself unable to come up with a comic. While they don't happen much, I don't like GG having a hiatus. But, I sucked it up and got to work on what I had to do before GG, making sure I got Friday's update up.

Strangely enough, yesterday I took a look at the stat page and on Wednesday, despite there being no update, I had 920 hits. That's the biggest day I've ever had aside from back in 2006 when in one day I got 1060 hits. And so far, Thursday has had 240 hits, which is the most I've had in a while.

Now, of course this could have something to do with the guest comic I did for Pokemon Heroes, but I've noticed a lot of comics that can miss updates occasionally have quite a few readers. Megatokyo, Life on Forbez, The Lounge, Three Panel Soul, etc. all have lots of readers and no real strict schedule.

I remember a while ago a friend of mine explained to me that the reason I don't have more readers is because of my reliable schedule. 'People are afraid of when something works' he told me. I thought he was being weird. Questionable Content, Misfile, Something Positive, Shortpacked, etc. all have a lot of readers and all of them can stick to a schedule. I think there are more popular comics that update regularly than there are popular ones that don't.

But could it be that the hits aren't more readers, but the same readers coming back over and over again to make sure they haven't missed the new comic? To me, this seems much more likely.

PS Check Today's Least I Could Do. It's like Sohmer and I are on the same wave length

Anyway, sorry about Wednesday and I'll see you all on Monday.

Until next time
