Last night I was in an excellent form for comic making. Not drawing, mind you, I could draw a straight line, but I did seem to have the ability to write and colour and all that good stuff.

Last Friday, I went to go and see if one of my favourite comics, Life on Forbez, had updated yet. Unfortunately, no new pages since March the 2nd had been put up. Fans of the series will know that this is not an uncommon occurance, as the author, CDC, can go for up to six or seven months without a page being put up.

Anyway, I scrolled down to the comments box and saw all these people pleading with CDC to bring back the comic. Now, a month or two ago, Tang of Tang's Weekly Comics put up a page in which he had lunch with CDC and CDC said that he had started to lose the fun of Life on Forbez. Remembering this, I put in a comment offering to take over and then headed back to page one to reread the archives.

When I had finally read all 322 pages, I saw that in the comments box, there had been a response to my offer. Not from CDC himself, mind you, but one of the fans. What did they say? They said do it. So, I said I'll do an unofficial continuation if twenty people say go for it, or if the man himself gives me Life on Forbez and says "Yeah, you can have it for a little while" then I'll do the official version, while posting all the old strips here on drunkduck with a touch up or two from me.

Now some of you may be wondering why I'm taking up a fifth comic. Well I'll tell you why. One, people enjoy LoF a lot and want to see it continued. Two, I was asked and it's rather flattering. Three, a lot of people read Life on Forbez, so that means I can use its popularity to boost my own. Four, I still have two more weeks of holidays and with all the WotN submissions done, I have way too much time on my hands.
