Marie is a fairly unique character for my comics in more ways than one. For starters, she's one of the few characters who is drawn slightly different depending on which direction she's facing (though it's just the button on her hat) and two, I think she is the only character who actually has pure black incorporated into her design rather than just used for her outline.
