random-Virote Concept Art
Demeter onIn my continuing effort to give you guys the most bang for your pageveiws,I've decided to post whatever art I have lying around on weekends.
Here's some concept art of Virote….lots of it. As you see, for a while, I played with giving him a dragon/serpent on his back instead of the original(and final) butterfly. also, his tatoos were (mostly) originally blue, but I liked the red better. I might start doing the red outline of the flames again… done in marker and pencil. wee….and yes, I did doodle Virote as a girl there…I like drawing characters who are strongly aligned to their gender as the opposite gender- with Lerato it wouldn't be fun, since he's so girly already, but with Virote it's like drawing a whole 'nother character, you know?
Oh, and I joined the fantasy banner exchange, advertising that Good Riddance has 100% more centaurs than your average webcomic…I'm just guessing on that figure. But only one webcomic I know of besides GR features centaurs in main character roles (The Accidental Centaurs, a pretty good comic I can't find the link to) and only 2 or 3 comics I know of feature Centaurs in supporting roles (The Wotch, Sea of Insanity((which hasn't updated in almost a year)), and Earthsong Saga ((But that just showed pictures of a centaur character which may eventually be a supporting character))) In other words, not most comics. Also, not average comics. Good Riddance, meanwhile, has 7 centaurs appearing (4 of them with names and either main or supporting roles) in the first two pages alone. I figure that would be just about 100% more than the average fantasy comic…I think. I'm bad at math.
