Does anyone have any idea why these might be scanning so badly? I wondered if there might be space between the paper and the glass but no matter what I do in terms of pressure (I've taken to laying a heavy book on it out of necessity) it still comes out subpar to the actual thing. Tch. If I can sort that out with anyone's help, I could rescan the pages so far.

I don't know if anyone is particularly interested, but I'm actually on Twitter, which is something I've been seeing of quite a few comickers. And while John and the gang don't have their own accounts (yet?), mine, among random inanity, does include bits on Hamelin, the process, the characters, etc., including occasional bits of in-process pages and pictures. I'm Joneko there, so feel free to stop by, harass me, friend me, etc.

Also, quite possibly may be having some musical accompaniment for Hamelin now and again courtesy of a good friend and wonderful musician Scott Litroff, who just completed his Master's at Mannes in NYC and is the basis for the gentleman up there in the top corner (or, started that way!). His brand of music is actually what helped inspire some of Hamelin's basics.
