This marks the end of issue #2 and also marks the end of our weekly sequential posts for the near future. The third issue has been drawn and inked. We’re about ten pages into coloring. By the time we get it lettered and finished it will be a few months from now so we’ll return with the final chapter of this story arc.
As for the future of Haven I’m uncertain. It takes a lot of man hours to produce your own color comic book. It has taken us about 4 years (and counting) to get 3 issues done. If I could find another art team with the same commitment as the fine people who put this story together I’d consider continuing it in comic book form. I don’t think that type of lightening strikes twice. But I will complete the story in one form or another.
Personally, I’ve been trying to move away from comics a bit delving into writing screenplays and trying my hand in independent film. We’ll see how that goes. I thank everyone who has supported Haven by coming here and posting. A big thank you to writer David Berner who always found time to come and comment. He does a great comic called Shades and I would do a search on Drunk Duck to give it a look see.
OH! And make sure you check out my other Web Comic Uncle Doug. That one is still going strong.
