And so begins the downfall of Hephaestus

@bludhaven (Chapter 4, Page 15): to be fair both Poseidon and Hephaestus are "earth-based" deities and Hephaestus was raised in the sea so Hephaestus had at least equal footing to Poseidon. Plus, the only dead in Tartarus at the time were the Titans so Hades had no "army of the dead" at the time as mortals haven't died yet. While the scales are different later on, at their origins Hephaestus had a sporting chance at beating Poseidon and Hades when they were younger. Plus, no god faced a Divine Fire attacker until Hephaestus as Hestia could only use it to cook.
