Yep, it was all a ruse. She was still holding back, even with her spear. In later chapters you'll get to see what it REALLY means for Ari Raj to not hold back.

Another page of slightly lower quality than established for this chapter, *sigh* This whole fight scene was rushed because I'm edging towards my self-imposed page limit. I need to have Jenna fight with Krasnovic and have four or five pages for denouement, which means I didn't get to put in all the things I'd have wanted for this one. Also, I've been feeling kind of ill, so my heart wasn't really in this.

In the future, I'll have to plan on having more chapters or more pages per chapter. Perhaps 32 pages, American-style instead of 20 or so, manga-style.
