Creating characters actually gets easier the more characters you've created. Some might believe that there are only so many different archetypes you can draw from, and that you're bound to repeat yourself… which might be true, but characters depend both on archetypes as well as on details, and details can only be picked up by accumulating experience. So, that part definitely gets easier over time.

The fact that the bomb is a "proton bomb" can be traced back to the last (= 24th) volume of Naoki Urasawa's "20th Century Boys" (which is actually called "21st Century Boy, Vol. 2"), one of the best mangas I've EVER had the pleasure to read.

Oh, and continuing from my comment on the page before last… another recurring theme in my work is obviously the sexy brunette. The fact that Sunhra is (sometimes) blonde is totally a mistake on my part. I don't know how that could have happened…

DAJB: Possibly! Probably because great characters give you the chance to sell lots and lots of merchandise, which a great story doesn't do by itself ;-)
