I have to admit that the first time I actually watched a complete Captain Harlock episode was only a few months ago. So, what I'm really channeling here is the climactic New Nautilus vs Red Noah battle from The Secret of Blue Water. I watched this series when I was 14 or 15, and its influence on me can't be overestimated. Anyway, Captain Nemo from Blue Water is very much based on Captain Harlock, so the circle is complete. ^_^

By the way, the ship's sails are supposed to be energy projections, that's why they're glowing (see previous page and/or cover). I mean, real sails in space would be crazy, right?? :p Anyway, I just meant to point out that they didn't rip up, crashing through the hull. No worries.
