Sorry this page is a few hours late! I just inked it and won't be getting around to adding gray tones, so I thought I'll just upload it this way for the time being. I have to prepare a whole lot of comics this week AND a presentation - because I'll be leaving for a seminar in Venice next week. Going to venice is nice and all (at least I hope so - I've never been there before), but it still means work ^_^ That's why Holon's 3rd chapter will have to wait another two weeks, and I'm uploading another short story in the meantime. In case you prefer a sufficient reason: This short story is a contribution to an annual German indie comics anthology, which has to be sent to the editor this Friday at the latest. That means I'll have to get it done this week anyway!

This story is going to be four pages long, uploading Mondays and Thursdays. I'll probably replace this b/w page with the toned version next Thursday, when I upload the next page.

alejkhan: Well, thanks! :P And yeah, I was doubting myself here. My plans to add tones were mostly based on the fact that so far, I've added tones to all Holon pages.

Fitz: Thank you! I'm not considering practicality here or anything, this is 100% about what I would like to draw, and the mood I'd like to evoke. Also, there's quite a bit of "they just don't make cartoons like that anymore" nostalgia involved :-) It's also meant to separate the pseudo-realistic setting of the main story from these far less realistic interludes.
