Ephesus - Phase One

Even my partner sat up and took notice when she saw this render. It's amazing, and it isn't even half finished.
This scene takes up where I left off on the first Making of Ephesus video (http://houseofthemuses.com/video_archive.html), except here I have added the landscape and the lighting. You can see the theater of Ephesus in the distance, as well as the Gymnasium and arena off to the left.
The afternoon sun makes the characters cast shadows on the ground. That cylinder on the left is a placemarker–the characters on horseback are "parented" to it so that I can easily move them around, rotate them, etc.
I have a good many more buildings to add. Ephesus isn't finished yet. More pics to come.
