September 11 memorial (a day late)

I was going to make a memorial to 9/11 when it actually WAS 9/11, but my schedule didn't allow it. But I think it's something that should be remembered, so I decided to do it today.

6 years ago yesterday, two hijacked planes crashed into the twin towers in New York city in a day that scarred many for life and killed even more. On that day I was watching TV when one of my friends called and told me to turn it to the news. I did, and I saw the first tower, crumbling and smoking. I assumed it was a freak accident, but then I saw the second plane crash into the second building. I couldn't believe my eyes. It was easily the most dramatic moment of my life. In the days that followed, after all the chaos and panic had settled down at least a morsel, I was able to actually find out what had happened. Two men had flown into the buildings, killing themselves and thousands of others in an attack that was planned by terrorists. Just to think that someone would do something like that makes me sick.


Anyway, it happened, it was sad, and we moved on. It's times like yesterday that we remember these things.
