Kyle was never ment to be a main character, but when drawing him for the first few scenes I got rather attached to the good-natured idiot, so I promised myself that I'd check in with him from time to time to see what he's up to. bits of his mis-adventures will turn up in this limbo space between chapters.

The two new guys in the background are Kyle's dad, the blacksmith, and Amy's dad, the inn-keeper. neither are important, but Kyle and Amy do have very important fathers in village life, especialy Kyle. They're probably the closest families in the village to being upper class, and their friendship with Joan went a long way towards keeping her safe.

Because these aren't real comic pages they give me a chance to experiment. This time around I decided to mess with colored pencils, despite all the evidence that they do not look good scaned…I will not be doing this again.
