Drake is changeing tactics, lets hope this one works better.

I'm still not happy with the way Drake turned out on this page, although Joan turned out surprisingly well. My arm isn't quite well yet, and drawing with it seems to make matters worse, so I'm giving it for a rest for a bit. Luckily, the lovely luciferownsme of the comic Rice has volunteered to do the penciling and inking for me, thus saving you all from updates in either stick figures or left-handed drawings. So she'll be doing the lineart for the next few pages, a big round of applause for her. While you're waiting for the next update, go check out her comic. Kare: Drake's too used to traveling alone, so when Joan speaky up and makes a snag in his plans, he can be thrown a bit off balance.

re Aywren: lets see if he's learned anything in his 2000 years that will get him out of this mess.

re Nigellashade: Joan's not quite as put-out by dragons eating humans because they don't normaly do so. she's also never seen Drake kill someone, especialy not in the gory fashion of Teddy's sire, Drake's aura isn't quite ans intimidating, and finaly she has the insurance that Drake needs her to find a way to get rid of the seal.

Vamps don't have to drink directly from the vein, but if they're hungry they'll go instincivly after someone's neck because that's what their stories dictate. As far as biting Joan goes, at this point Joan would be upset because she's being bitten, Teddy would be upset because he's biting someone (he's not well adjusted to his current state of being yet), and Drake would be upset because someone's chewing on his compass. So at this point, bad feelings all around our disfunctional little band.

it turns out that being bored with backgrounds works to my advantae once i resolve to do them because I add things like the lid scratches on a whim to keep things interesting for myself.

re Rina_ran: Drake would probably be a bit more of a reassuring presence if he wasn't so nonchalant about the whole thing.

re Cheeko: I think most of her backbone is being used up just dealing with Drake on a daily basis.

re Krae: you might have heard me rant about my photoshop before, but it's terrible when it some to speach bubbles. I have to oval select a space, fill it black, select a space inside it and delete it, add the arrow offshoot thing with the line tool, then fill the inside white. it's a pain, but forcing me to do all that gives me more controll and makes me pay more attention to them, so in the log run I guess it works out.
