OMG! fanservice! Well, not really, the fellow does literaly have face like a goat, but precidence dictates that satyrs wear no clothes, and I must yeild to tradition.
All you really need to get from this page is that they're gonna go see a group a vampires, with a little bit of the political terrain explained as a bonus.
here's some extra bits that you may be able to gather from the page, or that supplement it, including all of the four's previous cameos (not important to the plot, but fun if you're interested in world setting and such):
You may remember the fae woman from one of Drake's earlier explanations, she was the one who had the argument with Phoenix. Yes, for those of you who made the connection, the group of fae left the Solifidian mainlaind because of the agument. "Fae" in this case is used to refer to a group of Solifidians, not just faeries. In this case it is the group living in or around human territories, separate from the main Solifidian group, and led by Titania, the faerie queen (lady in the page). This group consists of mainly faeries, elves, gnomes, pixies, nymphs, dryads, satyrs, centaurs, and the like. Not all of these races left with Titania, the ones that did are refered to as fae _____, for example, the elves that left with her are fae elves, and so on. The elves especialy were split, because, if you think about modern portrayals you've got the angelic fair kind, and then the sort of arrogant ones, so the two varieties would choose different sides. (not sure if that's clear, but it's not particularly important, ask if you want to know more).
And of course, the satyr is the one and only Pan, who was on a tapestry back in chapter 1 ( I think in Lady Bochevam's house).
Most of you probably recognize the tatooed fellow from the gypsy explanation not so long ago, but both he and the lady next to him were in the big splash page during Drake's explanation of the Shadows War.
Drake's mostly summed up the vamp's current status, but if you have questions about that, ask away.
More on the "tyrant" later, although I will say that she's one of my favorite characters. Lots of grey area moraly.
mmmm, useless setting info ^^
oh, and another critter for the vote incentive because they're just so much fun to draw. I'll probably be doing a few more because I enjoy drawing them, and they're good practice for churning out things quicky, I can start and get one fully colored in one to two hours. I may end up using a few of them in Hurrocks, but if any of them strike your fancy and you want to use 'em for something, just ask. This one's sort of a chimera as far as dragon+lion+goat gooes, but not really.
