re jiminycricketX: thanks. History has got to be my favorite class, so it's hard for me not to make some backstory for ever place and person. I'm not sure how good I am at working all that into the comic, but I'm glad you liked what did get in.

re JillyFoo: granted it did have spiffy weapons in it.

re Mina_Lunga: The stick is magic in it's own right, so it's not quite as closely tide to Drake as you might think. More like a super pocket knife than a full-blown mystic weapon. It can change shapes and the like, but I think jedi-like retrieval action is a bit outside of it's abilities.
