Joan makes a subtle little jab at Drake and Drake gets his back up.

re Racnarath : I knew I wanted some sort of wing pattern for Drake a while back and doodled various versions in notebook margins until I found one that I liked. The final model was done at the beginning of this year in Japanese class XP

re amused4ever: eh, I figured that if i was going to show it, I should show it clearly. I tend not to like fanservice for it's own sake, but I needed an opportunity to pause and recap. Drake patching himself up seemed the best reason, and well, it's hard to treat a belly wound through a shirt.

re JillyFoo: Drake's just full of surprises.

re jccomics: unfortunately the detail of the tattoo means that tI won't be drawing Drake in this state that often simply because of the extra effort it requires.

re Frostflowers: thanks, i was worried a bit about the balance of it.

re Kikaru: I've deiced that the markings lie under his scales in his dragon form, mostly because on a practical level it would be hard for me to draw his dragon form otherwise, and because I don't think that they would look as good transfered. The idea is that dragons of different clans have different builds and horn and mane patters, so they can be identified that way, but those visual cues disappear in human form.

re Will: woah, so…much…praise…thank you ^_^ I'm always happy when I get feedback like this. As far as Joan not being that freaked out, this time period is probably a lot more violent than our time, and she's been working as a sort of doctor's assistant, so she's probably a lot less sheltered than a girl her age would be in our time. There are some things that can really get to her, and we will run into some of those, but blood doesn't upset her that much.
