being an arrogant jerk can come in handy when you're impersonating an arrogant jerk.

Further explanation of the ring in two pages, but for now just know that someone as low ranking as a nigh watchman could get into some serious trouble ticking off a noble. New Kent may be a trade city, but the time period is still very unstable and so the warrior nobility holds some serious power.

the ring itself came out sort of…bleh

re silverdragon1: yeah, I think it's the beard+helmet+darkness thing, he looked ok as lineart, but once things got all filled in he came out a bit odd.

re Rina_ran: Alex is still hoping for a promotion out of his little dead end job, or maybe he likes taking out his frustration by hassling travelers. Brian has just resigned himself to his fate.

re Stig Hemmer: because we're rich and so can totaly do anything that we like.

re worstcase: being a night watchman has to lead to some pretty frayed nerves.

re ce33: sometimes their dilation will vary, but never significantly. Mostly it's just the way I draw him, although I'm toying with the idea of his sight having a slight thermal component to it (he can see heat signatures) so he wouldn't be totaly light-reliant, but you're right, they should in reality be much more dilated.

re Mina_Lunga: shoulded a bit more depth there, oh well, we'll just pretend that it's a bit chilly out so they're standing close.

re Kikaru: pretty much, looks like Drake got tired of questions.

re Roken: of course, look at how mopey Teddy is, someone must have died.
