RAWR, a new dragon gets a not-so-warm greeting from Drake.

Some folks might be worrying about Drake rearing up, since it exposes his belly, but it's actually a reasonable move. Dragons have some heavy plating along his belly, so while the odd little magic arrow might get through they don't have much to worry about from the heavy claws and teeth from other dragons. Drake also seriously outweighs the newcomer, so rearing up gets him the high ground and the option of pinning him. It's also the classic intimidation move of making oneself as large looking as possible.

The new dragon's a slightly different variety than what we saw around the other meetings. He's smaller, with spines instead of fur down his back.

Slightly unrelated, but I was watching the presidential inauguration while finishing up this page, so it's sort of relevant: Go Obama!

one more thing, on site maintenance: more links are up in the link sections, and I'm still taking link exchanges. Also, my system of uploading fanart at the end up chapters isn't working now that it's taking me longer to finish chapters, so I went ahead and posted all the fanart in the fanart section, some of which was long overdue, so go ahead and pay those spots a visit.

re Kikaru:well, Drake's reacting like he's an enemy, but there is also a message tube on his leg, so perhaps he is a messenger. We'll have to see.
