oh no, it's a flashback within a flashback! I think I broke time or something. Just for clarification, Brittany is narrating this page.

Sorry about the late update. I blame it on a combination of me having an essay due, my mom coming to visit me in Scotland and us going to oodles of castles together, and me totaly geeking out over the new Watchmen movie. On that note, you should totaly go see Watchmen. I know it's gotten some mixed reviews, and while I do agree with some of the critique (except all the people bitching about Dr. Manhattan's lack of pants, for real people, if your old enough to see a rated R movie, you really should be mature enough to deal with nudity), but thought that it was just minor nit-picking that didn't really hurt the overall movie. The actors were terrific (especially the fellow who played Rorschach) and really carried the film. Most of the other fans of the comic book seem to have had a positive reaction to it too, despite some of the scenes that they had to cut for time reasons and such. So yeah, if you're mature enough to deal with the violence and Dr. Manhattan's disregard for clothing you should totally go see it.

Anyway, that's enough of me geeking out, on to the page. Dragons aren't allowed to bring weapons to meetings, so even though the Drakes are big-bad warriors, there's only so much they can do unarmed and without magic against a group of fully outfitted soldiers. Traditionally, parts of dragons, especially their blood and hearts are supposed to have magical properties if consumed, granting things like superhuman strength and immortality. You can even see it in popular modern fantasy like Harry Potter, where dragon-heart strings can serve as a magical core for wands.
replies:

re Mikato: yeah T_T

re Kikaru: London's family is at an entirely different meeting, so they're not among the dead inside.
