re Annhialator: I think the Templars were a mixed group, I know they operated separately from the various English, French, and German kings who came, but ther was one individual who also used the red cross before the Templars adopted it.

re jccomics: glad it stands up to a second reading ^_^ The Templars did indeed use red crossed, but an earlier legendary figure used it as his emblem as well.

re Mikato: They were indeed fanatics (so crazy in fact that the group of assassins that inspired the Assassin's Creed video game (yes they did in fact exist) in reality didn't even want to mess with them) but there was one knight who used the red cross emblem long before they did and if possible was even more fanatical.

re Kikaru: the Templars did indeed use red crosses on their shields, but there was one knight who used it before them.
