so yeah, just in case you needed it driven home more, everybody's dead. brother? dead. mom? dead. dad? dead. little brother? dead. all gone.

If your wondering why their hands and arms are particularly bloody it's defensive wounds. Even though the rest of the family weren't trained fighters like Drake, they're still dragons and could put up a decent fight, just not good enough.

I can't decide if dragons cry or not (aren't their tears supposed to turn into diamonds…or jelly beans(quick, name that song!)?), so no tears for Drake. He's still somewhat numb.

re Kikaru: he is holding himself together, even if it's just by a hair. Mostly this is due to shock and the warrior training he had as a drake that did stress keeping your head even in the most stressful situation (although this is beyond anything that they could have anticipated).

re Mina_Lunga: thanks, I was really worried in preparing for this scene about it being overdone, because it is such a stereotypically melodramatic event.
