whenever I go to castles I'm always terrified of those spiral stairs. Steep, smooth, hard, and designed to be treacherous as a defensive mechanism. those suckers are deadly.
It may seem weird for George to try a fist fight, but without a sword he probably thought he stood a better chance depriving Drake of his weapon (which is lodged pretty solidly in the shield). his armor would protect him from most punches and if he had managed to connect with his punch the wight of all the armor on his arms would have made it a pretty solid hit. Pity he didn't count on Drake's claws or how close the stairs were.

re Cerise: somehow my gut reaction is "THROW HER INTO THE POND!" god, Monty Python is always lurking below the surface of my brain.
re Cthonic Cultist: looks like it. George may be a powerful holy warrior, but Drake spent most of his life training to fight. If he had connected on that first punch the weight of the armor on his arm would have made it a pretty hearty blow but unfortunately for him Drake's a little too fast.
