#18: mixing enough genres

Early update because tomorrow is my first day of class and I am rockin' those 8 am's! #ohgod.
Okay artsy people, I've gotta question for you. Anyone have any idea why my ink washes suddenly got all gross and grainy on me? What I usually do is spread water with an eyedropper. Then I take a watered down ink solution and add a few drops here and there to get that smoky effect. Then I let it dry for a few hours. But every now and then my water dries up too fast and I get this mess. Any thoughts?
