Motion lines! And they're good, someone has obviously been studying tutorials. :P

Before you cry "foul, his hair should still be in motion," allow me to explain: Alex has total control over his hair, so something like motion can be overcome, just like you can move your arm hanging outside of your vehicle while speeding down the highway. Note his ears are still off to the side, showing that he just slid to a halt.

Now you see why Alex had Cat hold his hat, he goes through more hats that way. :P
